Thy Kingdom Come
Join the global wave of prayer 10th - 20th May 2018
Churches across the world are invited to spend the ten days before Pentecost 2018 praying together.
In 2016 the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in partnership with 24-7 Prayer, HOPE, the World Prayer Centre, the Neighbourhood Prayer Network, the National Day of Prayer & Worship and others, invited the Church of England to spend focused and dedicated time in prayer in the week running up to Pentecost Sunday, May 15th 2016, as part of a united effort to see more of the Kingdom of God come in our day. The response was amazing! Hundreds of thousands joined the wave of prayer.
The vision for 2017 was even bigger. The Presidents of Churches Together in England joined with the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to make the call to churches of all denominations in England. Every part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, and the World Methodist Council have also been invited to join the wave of prayer.
Archbishop Justin says: 'When we have a Church that prays and is reconciled and reconciling, and that tells people confidently about Jesus, then the dawn will break, hope will rise, our countries will be transformed and the empty threats of economies and terrorists will be utterly and finally overthrown. To God be the glory'. Find out more here.
